The European Federation of Addiction Societies (EUFAS) made a strong and visible contribution to the European Psychiatric Congress (EPA 2026) held in Prague from 28 to 31 March 2026. A particular highlight was the joint EPA–EUFAS–ESRS symposium, which attracted high interest and attendance.
The symposium, “The Impact of New Technologies and Novel Psychoactive Substances on Sleep Disorders”, took place on Tuesday, 31 March, and brought together leading experts from psychiatry, addiction medicine, and sleep research. Cutting‑edge presentations addressed adolescent technology use and sleep, long‑term cocaine‑induced sleep disturbances, and the complex relationship between cannabis use and sleep.
The lively discussion and strong audience engagement underscored the scientific relevance and success of the session, reinforcing EUFAS’s key role in advancing interdisciplinary dialogue at major European psychiatric meetings.
