EUFAS supports the AWARH

Alcohol consumption places a considerable burden of avoidable premature deaths, disability, acute and chronic diseases across European countries.

The European Federation of Addiction Societies (EUFAS) is committed in supporting the framework for action on alcohol in Europe aimed at reducing the impact of alcohol as a causal determinant of more than 200 health conditions, including cancer, injuries, and liver disease.

EUFAS also urges policy makers to prevent alcohol harm through developing effective alcohol policy to: raise public awareness, combat industry-promoted misinformation, promote scientific understanding, and provide better health care for people affected by alcohol.
